Reservation of Places for National Servicemen 

NS liable persons will be granted deferment for Polytechnic Diploma studies (and its equivalent) if they are able to commence the course : 

- before 19 years old (students with GCE ‘O’ Level qualifications); or 

- before 21 years old (students with NITEC/Higher NITEC qualifications) as at 1st January of the course commencement year (2012). 

For students who do not fall within the categories specified above, they would be determined to be NS liable, and are thus required to serve National Service prior to the commencement of studies at Republic Polytechnic.
