If a greener future is what you envision for our planet, then look no further. The Diploma in Renewable Energy Engineering is your ticket to becoming part of the growing team of renewable energy experts at the forefront of climate change prevention.
We start you off on the basics of electrical and electronic engineering. From there, you will move on to an in-depth understanding and application of renewable energy systems guided by projects, internships, and hands-on training in technologically advanced laboratories that are jointly set up with leading companies.
With your diploma, you will be able to get your foot in the door at prestigious companies and institutions like SERIS, REC, A*STAR, Fluke, and Daikin.
As Singapore strives towards a target of having at least 80% of its buildings Green Mark certified by 2030 and energy audit being made compulsory for commercial buildings, the renewable energy and green building sectors are set to see a dramatic growth. As a graduate of this diploma, you will have the opportunity to become an auditor, consultant or even researcher in these sectors.
Starting with the basics of electrical and electronic engineering in the first year, the Diploma in Renewable Energy Engineering will empower you to understand, design, apply, and audit renewable energy systems using state-of-the-art equipment. In this course, you will also go through intensive hands-on training in technologically advanced laboratories that are set up in joint-partnership with leading companies.
For your final year industry attachment, there will be enriching internship opportunities in prestigious companies and research institutes such as the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS), Renewable Energy Corporation, Experimental Power Grid Centre of A*STAR, Fluke, and Daikin. You can also look forward to exciting overseas learning trips to Korea, Taiwan, and Australia.
RP’s renewable energy engineering graduates are fully equipped to join the workforce in a variety of roles both within and beyond the renewable energy and green building sectors. Some professions you can look forward to are:
Graduates can also choose to pursue further education in local or overseas universities. All our diploma programmes are designed to meet the requirements for advanced standing in local and overseas Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs).

This BCA-Industry Built Environment Diploma Scholarship/ Sponsorship which covers the entire 3 years of study will be given to the top students, based on their O-level results, who have chosen Diploma in Renewable Energy Engineering (DREE) as their first choice during the Joint Admission Exercise (JAE).
The BCA-Industry Built Environment Diploma Scholarship / Sponsorship is a partnership between BCA and industry players to offer young people of high calibre an opportunity to take up full-time built environment courses at local Polytechnics and the BCA Academy.
The Diploma Scholarship / Sponsorship are structured in two stages. Stage 1 provides financial incentives to students during their diploma study. Stage 2 provides a clear progression path and attractive salary for the student to join the building and construction sector upon his/her graduation. Existing diploma graduates (with less than 3 years of experience in building & construction sector) may also apply to join Stage 2.
