Singapore, 9 April 2012- Two Republic Polytechnic (RP) graduates have successfully broken into the Russian market with their hand-sewn customisable laptop sleeves.
Darcy Li and Bryan Lee, both 23, are best friends and proud founders of Snupped a company which offers tailor-made laptop sleeves. Their business idea came about when they were students at Republic Poly. They started Snupped as they wanted to offer laptop owners highly unique laptop sleeves.
They first tested their entrepreneurial skills by selling custom-built computers and building websites when they were in secondary school. Darcy, a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Sciences (R26) graduate said, "The ventures were fun, profitable and were supported by our families and friends". These experiences provided them the foundation to start Snupped.
The two explained how RP's Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach has helped them in managing their business. Darcy said, "A business is about building networks and RP's daily presentations definitely helped." Adding on, Diploma in Business Information Systems (R13) graduate, Bryan said, "RP's PBL system has helped me to think on my feet."
