School and Centre Advisory Committees in Republic
Polytechnic act as a channel of communication
between industry and its respective Schools and
Centres.
These committees advise the respective Schools
and Centres on:
-
the development and revision of its course
curricular, including the establishment of new
courses
- industry orientation programmes for students
- suitable training and development programmes
for staff
- issues such as new and emerging technology, changing needs of the industry and employment of graduates
- issues such as potential joint-venture industry based projects, research centres and business enterprises
- possible industry sponsorship of projects related to the respective Schools, Centres and students
