26 October 2010: RP receives Distinguished Home Team Partner Award

19 October 2010: RP signs MOU with Resorts World Sentosa to provide internship and scholarship.

21 September 2010: RP opens Centre for Continuing Education and Training

9 September 2010: RP signs MOU with Marina Bay Sands to provide career opportunities for students, and scholarships for 10 students.

30 August 2010: RP receives Work-Life Excellence Award

26 July 2010: Business Excellence Assessment Committee endorses RP's SQC STAR, PD, I-Class and S-Class status

1 June 2010: RP receives the MINDEF Physical Fitness Performance Award (MPFPA) “Best Performer Award” 2009.

14 May 2010: RP receives a Merit Award at the 11th biennial PRISM Awards for her excellent handling of A(H1N1) in the Crisis and Issues Management category.

13 May 2010: RP and Singapore Sports Council (SSC) sign MOU to develop the next generation of sports professionals and strengthen industry collaboration.

9 April 2010: RP signs a three-year MOU with Singapore Association of Conventions and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (SACEOS) to foster proactive communication and interaction with SACEOS and industry partners in conventions and MICE industry.

27 January 2010: RP and Singapore Sports School announce RP-SSP Diploma in Sports and Leisure Management Programme to allow an uninterrupted scholastic and sporting development pathway.

6 November 2009: RP receives the Green Office Label (2009-2011). Awarded under Project Eco-Office (by the Singapore Environment Council), the Green Office Label reaffirms RP as an environmentally-friendly work place.

21 October 2009: RP successfully recertified and upgraded in QEHS, covering ISO 9001:2008 (Quality), ISO 14001:2004 (Environment), and OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health/Safety)

The first intake of 800 students started their academic year at Tanglin Campus in July 2003.

The polytechnic project team started operating in the premises of Data Storage Institute, NUS from January 2002.

The team moved into Tanglin Campus (former MOE) on 1st July 2002.

The Republic Polytechnic Act 2002 was passed by Parliament on 8th July 2002.
