Industry Associate Scheme (IAS)
The Industry Associate Scheme (IAS) is intended to allow RP's academic staff to be associated with the industry in a systematic, coordinated and sustainable way so that the experience that they gathered through their association with industry would augment their problem-based learning approach to learning, teaching and problem crafting.
Whether it is in performing consultancy, design, contract services or other forms of collaboration with hosting industry partner, this scheme enables our staff to create highly relevant curricula, stay at the cutting edge of technological trends as well as upgrade their knowledge continuously.
Objectives:
- Allow academic staff to develop strong links with the industry and facilitate collaborations with them.
- Enable academic staff to keep abreast with the industry trends and be exposed to cutting-edge technologies.
- Increase our capability to create relevant educational problems centered on our unique PBL pedagogy.
- Allow the academic staff to incorporate current industry practices into the academic curriculum.
