Enhanced Training Support Package

The Enhanced Training Support Package (ETSP) has been extended to 31 December 2021.

The ETSP aims to help selected sectors tide over the economic impact of COVID-19, and also to enable these companies to position themselves for subsequent recovery. Only Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are eligible for ETSP. You may visit the SkillsFuture Singapore for more information on the ETSP.

Republic Polytechnic is the appointed training provider for companies and individuals in these sectors.

  • Arts and Entertainment
  • Food Services 
  • Point-to-Point Transport
  • Private Bus Hire
  • Retail
  • Sports and Recreation
  • Tourism


Companies (SME and non-SME)

As an employer, you can obtain 90% course fee subsidy when you send your employees for sector-specific training. In addition, the ETSP also provides absentee payroll funding at 80% of your employee’s basic salary, capped at $7.50 per hour

To register for courses, please complete the following: 

  1. Company Sponsorship Form before registering your employees 
    (only applicable if this is the first time you are working with Republic Polytechnic).

Terms & Conditions 

  1. Trainees must be full-time or permanent part-time employees of the sponsoring company, and fully sponsored for supportable cost components (such as course fees) incurred on the training course. Trainees must continue to receive their salary when they attend training.
  2. Sponsoring company is to ensure that Trainees have not attended the same course previously under Republic Polytechnic, including as a self-sponsored trainee.
  3. Trainees must have achieved at least 75% attendance for all training.
  4. Trainees must complete the course whilst under employment of the sponsoring company by 31 December 2021.
  5. Sponsoring company will be required to pay for full courses fees, if trainees did not complete the course and pass the examinations/assessments (for exam-based courses).
  6. Absentee payroll is to be disbursed only after:
  • Trainee complete the training and pass the examinations/assessments (for exam-based courses).
  • Sponsoring company has provided all required information as requested by Republic Polytechnic.
  • Sponsoring company has completed payment to Republic Polytechnic for the nett payable course fees.
  • Trainees must participate in the post-course evaluation survey conducted by Republic Polytechnic.
