    MOE Subsidy

    Eligible Singapore citizens and permanent residents can enjoy subsidized course fees provided by the Singapore Government. The course fees are payable on a per certificate basis and are inclusive of GST. These fees are determined based on prevailing funding policies and subject to annual review and revision.


    All Singaporeans aged 25 years and above can make use of SkillsFuture Credit to pay for course fees.


    Enhanced Training Support for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME)

    SMEs will enjoy subsidies of 90% of the course fee when they sponsored their employees for academic CET programmes. The enhanced training support will only be extended to Singapore Citizens (SCs).

    SMEs which meet all of the following criteria can qualify for the enhanced training support:

    1. Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
    2. Employment size of not more than 200
    3. Trainee must be a Singapore Citizen
    4. Trainee must be a bona fide employee (i.e. hired in accordance with Employment Act) and fully employer sponsored for the training)

    Enhanced Workfare Training Support (WTS) Scheme

    With effect from 1 July 2013, if you are a Singapore Citizen aged 35 years or over, have a monthly income of not more than $2,000, you can enjoy 95% subsidy of your course fee for a wider range of courses covering all Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) courses, Academic Continuing Education and Training (CET) courses approved by the Ministry of Education (MOE), as well as Certifiable Skills Training courses accredited or supported by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA). You may also be eligible for a training allowance if you sign up for any WTS qualifying courses on your own without the support of your employer and successfully complete it. In addition, you may receive cash awards for completing training.

    Post-Secondary Education (PSE) Scheme

    From May 2008, a child can use his Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) funds to pay for his own or his siblings' approved fees and charges for MOE approved programmes.

    The PSEA was created in 2008, for children within the age range of 7 – 20. However, if you are below the age of 30 now, please contact MOE to find out the balance in your PSEA or contact their PSE Scheme customer service at 6260 0777, as the ministry might have transferred finances from your EduSave to your PSEA.

    At age 30, remaining funds from your EduSave will be transferred to your CPF.

    How to apply for usage of PSEA?  

    To check your PSEA account balance, please dial PSEA automated hotline 6260 0777. Applicant will need to fill up the Ad Hoc Withdrawal Form (downloadable here). The form can also be obtained from our One-Stop Centre. The completed hardcopy form need to be submitted to ACE through our One-Stop Centre Counter 1. Applicant may be required to top-up payment for course fee should there be insufficient amount in their PSEA account.

    Skills Development Fund (SDF)

    Employers can enjoy grants of up to 80% of course fees for staff training through the Skills Development Fund (SDF), although the funding rate may differ for various courses. Employers will need to apply online via WDA’s website to obtain course fee support.

    Skills Development Programme (SPR)

    The Skills Redevelopment Programme (SRP) is a national incentive funding programme that allows a company to claim the salary of its employee while he/she is attending any eligible Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) or National Skills Recognition System (NSRS) courses during work hours, subject to a cap of 80% of the employee’s basic hourly salary.
