Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE) - Local

Admissions to RP is based on merit. The following admissions requirements are in place to ensure that the applicant has the ability to cope with the rigour of the diploma course.

Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’-Level students
  1. Obtain 26 points or better for the respective course group’s net ELR2B2 aggregate score (i.e. English Language, 2 relevant subjects and best 2 other subjects, after deduction of CCA Bonus Points) of your interested course, AND
  2. Meet the Minimum Entry Requirement (MER) of that course.

NITEC students

  1. Obtain at least a net GPA of 3.5 (ie, after CCA bonus points addition, if any)
  2. Possess Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’-Level or ‘N’-Level qualifications;
  3. Eligible to apply for that course based on the course taken at ITE. For more information on the courses that you are eligible for based on the course you have taken in ITE, please visit www.rp.sg/courses.
Higher NITEC students
  1. Obtain at least a net GPA of 2.0 (ie, after CCA bonus points addition, if any), AND
  2. Eligible to apply for that course based on the course taken at ITE. For more information on the courses that you are eligible for based on the course you have taken in ITE, please visit www.rp.sg/courses.

Important Note for NITEC/Higher NITEC students

NITEC/Higher NITEC applicants who have not received their final results from their final exam are not eligible to apply under the Direct Admissions Exercise. However for applicants  who will be receiving their final results in late Mar/early Apr 11 are welcome to take part in the exercise from 1-4 Apr 11.

Note

  • Please refer to the DAE website at http://www.rp.sg/dae/local for more details.
  • The courses made available to applicants in this exercise are those which they have met the above criteria based on their qualifications. Otherwise they will not be able to select the courses during their application.
  • Successful applicant will have to accept the course offered by enrolling in the course during the enrolment period. All unaccepted offers will lapse after Enrolment and the places freed up.
  • Meeting the criteria only grants an applicant the eligibility to apply for a course. Selection criteria for admissions into our courses are based on merit and the planned intake of the courses. Admission is subjected to the vacancies of the courses at the point of posting.
