Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE)

To be eligible for consideration for admissions to the various courses in RP, applicants must obtain 26 points or better for the net ELR2B2 aggregate score (i.e. English Language, 2 relevant subjects and best 2 other subjects, including CCA Bonus Points*) and meet the minimum entry requirements (MER) for each course. The MER have been put in place to ensure that enrolled students would have the necessary foundational competence to cope with the rigour of the course curricula and successfully  complete the courses.

Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE)

JAE registration will commence on the same day as the official announcement of the 2008 Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'O' Level Examination results. 

 

The JAE registration period is held over 5 calendar days starting from 3.00 pm on the 1st day of registration until 4.00 pm on the last day of registration.

Release of JAE Result

The posting results of your application will be released about 2 weeks after the JAE registration period .

Enrolment (For JAE) Early March 2009

Note

  • Please refer to the MOE JAE website at http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/jae for more details.

  • Successful applicant will have to accept the course offered by enrolling in the course during the enrolment period. All unaccepted offers will lapse after Enrolment and the places freed up.

*Bonus Points System

Applicants who meet the MER for admissions to a course in RP and have done well in CCA in their secondary schools will receive bonus points when being considered for admissions into their chosen course of study at the polytechnics.
