Allocation of places are dependent on the academic merit and vacancies available at the point of posting. RP does not encourage write-in or call-in appeals. "O" Levels

To be eligible for consideration for admission to the various courses in Republic Polytechnic, applicants must obtain 26 points or better for the net ELR2B2 aggregate score (i.e. English Language, 2 relevant subjects and best 2 other subjects, including CCA Bonus Points) and meet the minimum entry requirements as shown in the table of courses in this section.

  • If you are using 2007 and/or earlier Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Levels examination results and you are a Singapore Citizen, Permanent Resident or Foreign student from government, government-aided or independent school (School Candidate), please click here.
  • If you are using 2007 and/or earlier Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Levels examination results, and you are a private candidate who is not eligible to apply for JAE and you are also a non-expoly student, please click here.
  • If you are using 2007 Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Levels examination results and you are eligible to apply under JAE, but consider yourself having outstanding talents/achievements and strong passion/aptitudes in certain fields of study, please click here.
  • If you did not meet the minimum entry requirements for only 1 subject by 1 grade but fulfill the 2008 JAE Cut-off Point (COP) and wish to seek conditional admission to RP, please click here.

Bonus Points System

Since 1998, applicants who meet the minimum entry requirements for admission to a polytechnic course and have done well in CCA in their secondary schools will receive bonus points when being considered for admission into their chosen course of study at the polytechnics.

With effect from 2003, CCA bonus points for ITE graduates will also be considered for entry to the polytechnics.
