Scholarships
Several scholarships and bursaries for full-time
students are offered by various government and
private organizations. There are two broad categories
of scholarships, namely
- Academic Scholarships;
- Student Activities Scholarships.
Book prizes and medals are
also available to reward students who have achieved
outstanding
records
in their studies. The details of
such awards will be posted on the Republic’s
website and can also be obtained from the One-Stop
Service
Centre.
Application for other scholarships and bursaries will be announced in July.
Singapore Tourism Board (STB) Scholarship
The Singapore Tourism Board Scholarship established in Year 2006 is offered for outstanding Republic Polytechnic students pursuing Diploma in Integrated Events Management only. Candidates must be serious and passionate about a career in the tourism / events industry upon graduation.
The scholarship covers the following:
• Tuition Fees imposed by Republic Polytechnic (after Tuition Grant)
• Other compulsory school fees imposed by Republic Polytechnic
• Monthly allowance of S$500.00 (subject to a yearly maximum of S$6,000.00) during the
permitted time to complete the Course stated in the Terms and Conditions of the scholarship.
Application Procedure
Application timelines and procedure will be made known to students during the study semester. Interested students are encouraged to apply.
Singapore Sports Council (SSC) Sports Scholarship
The SSC Sports Scholarship is intended to be offered to outstanding individuals who can make their mark blazing new frontiers in a dynamic and vibrant sports industry. Successful applicants may further look towards the possibility of a promising career filled with infinite possibilities and opportunities to learn and excel.
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
• Singapore citizens or permanent residents intending to take up citizenship
• Outstanding GCE "O" and "A" levels or Diploma results
• Good track record of co-curricular activities, especially in the area of sports
