What if I have forgotten to bring a required document/certificate for enrolment?
You will not be
allowed to complete the enrolment process. You will need to return with all the
necessary documents and/or certificates as listed in the Enrolment Checklist (http://www.rp.sg/admissions/enrolment/enrolment_step2c.asp)
by 4 pm, 30 March 2007.
How do students apply for
their EZ-Link card?
Republic
Polytechnic will apply for the EZ-Link cards on behalf of the students. RP will
also take photographs of the students for printing onto the EZ-Link cards.
The cards will be ready for collection 2 weeks after the start of the new
academic semester, as EZ-Link requires about 10-15 working days to process the
cards.
What if I missed the enrolment
period?
If you missed
our enrolment period, our offer to you has expired and you will be deemed to
have not willing to take up our offer. The vacancy has already offered to
another candidate on the waiting list.
Do I need to be present for the enrolment if I am applying for deferment due to
National Service (NS) obligation?
Yes, you
are required to be present to complete the enrolment process and pay the
non-refundable enrolment fees. Following, you are required to submit an
application for deferment at
http://www.myrp.sg/scs.
Tuition Grant Scheme
What is the Tuition Grant Scheme?
Student’s
education at the polytechnics is subsidised by the Government of Singapore. The
Singapore Government, through the Ministry of Education (MOE) provides full-time
students with tuition grants to assist them in paying the full tuition fees.
Students only pay the difference between the training cost and the tuition grant
- a nominal sum in relation to the recurrent cost of providing such an
education.
Do I still have to pay fee after I have applied for the tuition grant?
Yes, tuition grant covers only part of the total
training cost of a Polytechnic education. Students are required to pay the
balance of the tuition fees, as well as the Annual Supplementary Fees

Grant amount provided?
The subsidy is
$13,300 for students of all nationality.

How are we
notified to pay school fees every semester?
Enrolled students are notified to pay school fees via email
through RP's official email account or check their account via
Statement of Account Portal using
student ID and password.
CPF Education Scheme
What is the CPF Education Scheme?
The Education Scheme is a
loan scheme which enables members to use CPF savings from their Ordinary Account
to pay for their children's or their own tuition fees excludes supplementary
fees). The student has to repay the amount withdrawn plus interest, in cash
subsequently. Only full time subsidised courses at approved local tertiary
institutions are included under this loan scheme.
Students can also use
savings from siblings’ or relatives’ CPF account to pay for the fees.
How can I apply for CPF
Education Scheme?
During
the application period, you can apply online at the
CPF website. Both you and the CPF member must each have a SingPass and an
email account. If you need to obtain Singpass, please visit the nearest CPF
office.
Note:
All students should forward the acknowledgement email that they should receive
after successful application online, to help-registrar@rp.sg. This will notify
the school of the online application.

Mendaki Tuition Fee Subsidy
Who
is eligible to apply for tuition fees subsidies from Mendaki?
All Malay students who have
had free secondary and pre-university education and whose monthly family income
does not exceed $3,000 qualify for the subsidy.

Tuition Fee Loan Scheme
Who can apply for Tuition Fee Loan (TFL) Scheme and what does it cover?
A Tuition Fee
Loan Scheme is available to all students pursuing full-time diploma courses at
the polytechnics. Under this scheme a student can apply for a loan of up to 75%
of the subsidized tuition fees payable for the whole course of study.
