Living Expenses

Apart from paying for your fees, you must also expect to incur various living expenses. These vary according to one’s lifestyle and spending habits. The following is an estimate of expenditures you should factor into your financial calculation:

Accommodation
Before coming to Singapore, successful international applicants should ensure that they will have a place to stay upon arrival. Republic Polytechnic’s one-stop service centre may be able to help those who need assistance in finding accommodation.

Rental per month ranges from S$250 per room (double occupancy) in public housing to about S$850 per room (single occupancy) in a private apartment

You will be pleased to note that Republic Polytechnic provides limited student hostel and priority will be given to first year international students,

Living expenses: On average, you should budget at least $450 to $650 per month for food, transport, entertainment and other miscellaneous needs

Purchase of notebook/laptop: It is necessary for RP student to own a notebook as teaching delivery mode is conducted through RP e-learning environment. On average, the notebook prices range from $1,500 to $3,000.
