Our Partners' Support

Support from the community is key when it comes to sponsorships. Without the generosity of our partners, deserving students who need financial aid would not have the opportunity to pursue their ideals in higher education.

Over the year, our partners from the industry, associations and foundations have answered our call for sponsorship and donated almost $500,000 towards scholarships and bursaries for those who have achieved excellence in both academic and non-academic areas.

RP has instituted two tax-deductible funds towards the advancement of education for both staff and students. Having been conferred Institutions of Public Character (IPC) status by IRAS in April 2003, each fund is managed by a management committee to ensure proper usage of donations and both are members of the Education Central Fund administered by the Ministry of Education.

The Student Development & Welfare Fund aims to provide bursaries, equipment loans and other forms of financial assistance schemes to our students. It also rewards students with excellent performance in academic fields and co-curricular activities with scholarships and book prizes. Donations received for this fund can also be used to fund activities associated with student development, welfare and social activities. The donations may be in monetary form or in-kind, such as computers.

In the first year of its inception, the Fund has already received donations from industry partners such as Applied Materials South East Asia Pte Ltd, Baxter Healthcare SA, CommerceNet Singapore Ltd, Goh Foundation, Hewlett Packard Singapore (Pte) Ltd, Hong Leong Foundation, Hitachi Data Systems Pte Limited, Lee Foundation, Lien Foundation, Max Lewis Scholarship Fund, Measurement & Metrology (S) Pte Ltd, Mentor Graphics Asia Pte Ltd, Pesi B Davar Memorial Fund, Singapore Computer Systems Limited, Singapore Industrial Automation Association, Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation, Tan Joo Kee Scholarship Fund, The Shaw Foundation, as well as individuals.

The Development & Project Fund was set up to drive continuing education, improve staff welfare in the form of staff upgrading and development programmes and to fund the upgrading of RP’s physical infrastructure, equipment and applications in line with the development of technological skills.
