Republic Polytechnic Graduate awarded prestigious Nanyang Scholarship

Republic Polytechnic Graduate Chew Yi Xian Eunice has been awarded the prestigious Nanyang Scholarship by The Nanyang Technological University. Eunice, who graduated in April 2009 with a Distinction in Diploma in Technology and Arts Management from the School of Technology for the Arts, was one of the top students in her cohort and was also given the Board of Governers’ Award.

The Nanyang Scholarship is awarded to outstanding freshmen with exceptional academic results, excellent Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) records and strong leadership qualities. It covers tuition fees and living allowances for the entire undergraduate studies, allowing students to experience an even more holistic undergraduate experience.

The competition for this scholarship was very challenging, as it was open to top scholars from local Junior Colleges and Polytechnics, as well as international applicants. As such, it is a proud moment for Republic Polytechnic that our Alumni emerged the final scholar! Eunice will be pursuing a Degree in Communication Studies at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information.

She wishes to express her utmost gratitude to RP for its dedicated facilitators and the opportunities provided to her. She will put to good use the skills she has developed throughout her three years of studies - Patience, Initiation and Perseverance, in all her future endeavors.
