Basketball (F) won second placing in POL-ITE Basketball Championship 09/10

Basketball (F) made RP proud by clinching second placing for POL-ITE 09/10. They fought hard and achieved 4 wins and 1 loss. Even though the final outcome was a disappointment to the girls, the experience that they had was priceless.
Republic Polytechnic versus Institute of Technical Education
It was disappointing to lose the last crucial match against ITE as it was the decisive first placing for the tournament. The girls showed perseverance throughout the whole match and did not give up even when their moral is down. Those who were on court played their part by playing their best while those who were on the bench cheered throughout
the game. The team finally lost to ITE by 61 – 83.
Republic Polytechnic versus Nanyang Polytechnic
The pressure given by the opponent team was bearable but at the same time putting a threat to the females’ attack. However, RP team continued to focus on their game and rose up against the pressure from the opponent. The team eventually won 66 – 50.
Republic Polytechnic Vs Temasek, Singapore and Ngee Ann Polytechnic
The team breezed through the first few matches. They won 90 – 38 against Ngee Ann Polytechnic, 88 – 28 against Singapore Polytechnic and 70 – 59 against Temasek Polytechnic.
The girls put in their best in every game. Their undying spirit and perseverance allowed them to clinch 2nd placing for POL-ITE Basketball Championship 09/10. We look forward to IVP Basketball tournament in January 2010.
