Our Woodlands campus is opened by
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on 31 July 2007. It is designed
to fulfill RP's mission and vision. Below you can find the architectural concepts of the Woodlands campus.
Main Concepts As a masterplan strategy, the Republic Polytechnic is conceived as a campus with a central nucleus of main educational programmes serviced by 5 satellites of ancillary programmes.
Agora The Agora in ancient Greece was a place of public assembly, a forum, marketplace or public square for exchange of information and goods.
Lawn The proposal for the Republic Polytechnic aims to distinguish the new campus from the 4 other existing Polytechnics with the provision of a non-hierarchical green collective meeting space for the staff, students and public.
Learning Pods Learning Pods will house the Study Clusters and Dry Labs. These study clusters - dry lab blocks of buildings are the encapsulation of educational facilities where learning ,dissemination, exchange and resolution of information and ideas take place.
