Academic Staff (Instructional Design)

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of blended learning courses using on-line tools
  • Design and deliver workshops to academic staff related to blended learning
  • Conduct research that is focused on evaluating the quality of learning in programmes that are delivered in a flexible format
  • Participate in projects and activities organised by the Centre aimed at professional development of adult learners and educators
  • Facilitate a Cognitive Skills module

Job Requirements

  • A good degree related to instructional design, preferably at a post-graduate level
  • A minimum of two years of work experience assisting in the design of blended learning curriculum
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)

Academic Staff (Adult Education and Training)

Job Responsibilities

You will develop learning materials and deliver training activities to support the professional development of adult learners and educators. You will also conduct research that is focused on evaluating the quality of learning and participate in other activities organised by the Centre aimed at professional development of adult learners and educators.

You will work closely with various academic departments across the Polytechnic to identify professional development needs and customise staff development activities and also facilitate in a cognitive skills and problem-solving module.

Job Requirements

  • A good post-graduate degree in education
  • A relevant post-graduate diploma or certificate in adult education would be an advantage
  • A minimum of five years of work experience specialising in adult education
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)

Academic Staff

The Centre for Educational Development is looking for a passionate educator to and deliver staff development programmes and student modules offered by the department.

The candidate will be involved in the design and delivery of programmes in the key areas of teaching skills, curriculum models, assessment practices and use of technology in the classroom, focusing on learner-centred and collaborative principles of teaching and learning.

Job Responsibilities

  • Minimum 2 years work experience, preferably in education, instructional design and/or staff development
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage both adult and adolescent learners
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn on the job
