Centre for Educational Development - Senior Executive (Communications, Promotions and Outreach)
The Centre for Educational Development is looking for enthusiastic professionals and leaders in the field of education. Candidates should share our problem-based learning (PBL) philosophy of teaching and learning that embraces self and communal awareness, depth of understanding and ownership of learning.
Job Responsibilities
The role entails identifying, negotiating and managing significant strategic partnerships and relationships that support Republic Polytechnic’s current and emerging directions so as to develop and maintain a strong PBL professional network in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Conceptualise, produce, write and edit promotional and editorial articles for online and offline mediums to a high standard consistent with Republic Polytechnic’s key messages, editorial guidelines and brand identity
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and potential clients to promote professional development consultancies and implement PBL outreach programmes
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to organise institution-wide events such as the International PBL Symposium
- Streamline and improve the operational efficiency of the department by assisting the existing administrative team when required
- Assist senior management in strategic planning, human capital development and capacity building
Job Requirements
- A good degree in media studies, communications, business and/or social sciences
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in communications, branding, promotions, outreach and/or other work of similar nature
- Good interpersonal and communication (both written and spoken) skills
- Analytical thinking and decision-making skills
- Good understanding and appreciation of IT systems and processes
- Willingness to work as a team in both leadership and support roles in a dynamic environment
Those with a desire to teach will be considered favourably. Individuals with experience in administrative leadership will be considered for a managerial position.
