Centre
for Innovation and Enterprise (CIE) has been organising a pushcart competition in different venues for a few years as part of its drive to promote the spirit of entrepreneurial can-do among youths. Pushcart stall first sprouted in shopping malls in recent years to enable small business owners to push their wares at lower costs.
Pushcarts are also a throwback to the past where entrepreneurial hawkers hawk their wares in the streets of Singapore. Therefore, it is the most ideal way for youths to experiment and cultivate their entrepreneurial skills. At the centre of this ideology is the pushcart where students pit their skills and build up the right can-do spirit. |
