Diploma in Biomedical Sciences (R14)
Course Structure
To fulfil the requirements for the full-time diploma programme, students need to successfully complete a total of 30 modules. The course consists of foundation modules, core discipline modules and specialisation modules.
Three areas for specialisation are offered in the programme:
- Biomedical Sciences
- Medical Technology

There are 11 core-specialisation modules offered by DBMS which can be seen in the course structure (Table 2). The core-specialisation
modules may be taken in combination packages of 4
modules each to focus on the following 2 specialisation options: (1) Biomedical Sciences
and (2) Medical Technology. Students may select any
1 of these 2 specialisation options. The modules per specialisation option are as shown below.
