Course StructureWhat will I learn in this Diploma in Environmental Science (DENV) programme?
In DENV, besides being introduced to a broad-based environmental science foundation, you will learn about the environment and its challenges, including air, land and water pollution, solid waste and wastewater generation, as well as global warming. You will also learn about the state of art technologies employed in protecting and sustaining the earth’s resources. Examples include membrane technology for water reclamation, renewable energy sources and bioremediation.
To fulfil the requirements for the full-time diploma, students need to successfully complete a total of 120 modular credits. The course consists of foundation, discipline, specialisation, elective and freely chosen modules as well as an industry orientation programme.
Two options for specialisation are offered in the programme: -
