Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences

Course Structure

To fulfill the requirements for the full time diploma, students need to successfully complete a total of 30 modules. The course structure follows RP’s typical diploma architecture of a foundational year followed by a second year of core discipline modules. The programme is completed with a third year for specialisation.

Modules for DPHM Specialisation Options

There are 12 core-specialisation modules offered by the DPHM which can be seen in the course structure (Table 2). The core-specialisation modules may be taken in combination packages of 4 modules each to focus on the following 4 specialisation options: (1) Pharmaceutical Science, (2) Complementary and Alternative Medicine, (3) Pharmaceutical Logistics and (4) Medicinal Chemistry. Students may select any 1 of these 4 specialisation options.
