General modules aim to equip you with generic skills such as cognitive, linguistic and entrepreneurial skills, as well as provide you with the foundational knowledge of culture, technical communication and skills for personal development.
Discipline-specific modules focus on developing your knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Sciences while Specialisation-specific modules are designed to deepen your understanding of the area which you have chosen to pursue.
Industry attachment and research opportunities in collaboration with industry partners are offered for students to experience working in a pharmacy or pharmaceutical environment and recognise its potential. It would also enhance student awareness of employment opportunities in the industry. Students are required to choose any one of the following options to gain industry experience.
- Option A: Semester-long internship;
OR

You also need to take a number of

Elective modules are designed to broaden your understanding of the growing field of the Pharmaceutical Sciences, and serve to complement your knowledge acquired from other parts of the programme. The number of electives you can take depends upon the IOP option chosen and allocated for you.
The number of freely chosen modules you can take depends on the IOP option chosen and allocated for you. Based on the IOP option chosen, up to two modules can be chosen from the entire range of modules offered at Republic Polytechnic.
