School of Applied Science (SAS)
Science had unlocked the secrets of the atom, painted nature in a rational light and unraveled the mystery of DNA, the molecule of life. Advancement in the understanding of life processes and the smart applications of biology and materials are transforming us from being passive observers to being choreographers of nature.
We are on the threshold of a shift from an age of discovery to an age of mastery. Applied Science is the practice of using science in the industry. It integrates scientific, technological and medical knowledge to solve the problems of society and improve lives. However far we have come, the sciences still offer many wonders to be discovered.
