International Programme in Biotechnology (IPBIO)

About the Programme

The International Programme in Biotechnology (IPBIO) is offered in collaboration with the Faculty of Science, Monash University, Australia. It offers polytechnic students in the field of biotechnology an additional pathway to gain a degree.

IPBIO admits students who have enrolled in the third year of Republic Polytechnic’s Diploma in Biotechnology programme. These students will have to take specified modules during their three years at Republic Polytechnic to apply for admission into the Year 3 of the 3-year Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology) degree programme conferred by Monash University.

Students enrolled in the IPBIO will proceed to Monash University’s Gippsland Campus in Australia, and can expect to complete their Bachelor’s degree in approximately 9 months.
