International Programme in Biotechnology (IPBIO)

Pathway for Republic Polytechnic Students
The information given here is for students currently enrolled or intending to enroll in Republic Polytechnic’s DBIO programme.

Requirements for DBIO

To be accepted by Monash University under IPBIO, DBIO students will need to:
  • take Biotechnology Track as their specialisation, which includes the following three modules:
    • A241 Cell Culture
    • A361 Bioprocess Technologies
    • A364 Analytical Instrumentation
  • take the following as one of their elective modules:
    • A346 Pharmaceutical Chemistry
  • take the following as their freely chosen module:
    • A207 Physics
    • A114 Mathematics II
  • obtain a GPA of 3.0 or better for the DBIO
Accelerated Scheme

IPBIO students will be advised to plan their activities to complete their programme within three years.
