International Programme in Biomedical Sciences

Admissions

Admissions to the IPBMS is competitive and is based on merit. Not all students who meet the minimum entry requirements will necessarily be accepted.

For the academic year 2006/2007, it is intended to admit 25 students into the IPBMS.

Applications for admission into the IPBMS are invited from the following categories of students:

RP students who are about to complete the second year of the DBMS course and who are achieving good grades.

This category of students may be allowed to take and complete the ADBMS concurrently with the DBMS. The four modules of the ADBMS will be taken in the final year of the DBMS course in an “accelerated scheme”.

Students with good results will be informed towards the end of their first year of study about the option of applying for the IPBMS. Those who would like to enter the IPBMS in the accelerated scheme may request to take two additional DBMS modules in their second year. This will allow them to complete the four modules in the ADBMS while in their third year of the DBMS.

Applications for the IPBMS from students in this category will be received in October 2005 for academic year 2006/2007. See RP’s website for further information in October 2005.
