Diploma In Aerospace Engineering (Quality Systems)

About the Programme

The Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) is a core activity that forms the foundation for Singapore’s aerospace industry. Singapore now has one quarter of the fast growing Asian MRO market and is now recognized as Asia’s most comprehensive MRO hub, with nose-to-tail capabilities spanning airframe maintenance and modification, engine overhaul, as well as components and systems repair.

The Diploma in Aerospace Engineering (Quality Systems) (DAE) was launched to take advantage of the immense opportunities in the Asia Pacific aerospace industry.

Programme Aims

This programme aims to nurture knowledgeable and enterprising young professionals who will be able to apply their skills in the field of aircraft engineering technologies, in particular in the field of maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft engines, aircraft structures and electrical systems. You will be adept in the art of problem solving and become effective learners in the ever-evolving arena of this high-tech industry.

The programme will provide a well-rounded education comprising both technical know-how and general capabilities. Discipline and specialization-specific modules will equip our graduates with a solid understanding of the theory behind how things work. General modules will ground them in innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship, as well as train them in communication and life-long learning skills.

Your Future Career

DAE graduates can look forward to excellent career prospects and ample opportunities in the aviation industry. Their potential employment opportunities are in aerospace companies specializing in aircraft structural repair and aircraft engine maintenance and repair. They can be employed as process engineers, material planners, aircraft engine inspectors, as well as technical support personnel.

Graduates may also choose to pursue further education and to this end, all our diploma programmes are designed to meet the requirements for advanced standing in local and overseas Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs).
