Diploma in Integrated Events Management
Graduation Criteria
In order to graduate with a Diploma in Integrated Events Management, you must satisfy the modular criteria set by the Centre for Innovation & Enterprise. Students should be able to do this within three years of enrolment, if they successfully complete five modules, or its equivalent, per semester.
Modules at RP fall into three broad categories: as can be seen from the course structure. These consist of Core modules, Elective modules, and Freely Chosen modules. To satisfy the requirements of the Diploma, you must select a certain number of modules out of the range offered in each category. These are summarised in the following table:

Year 1
Covers common core broad-based modules such as Cognitive Process and Problem Solving, Communication Practice, Enterprise Skills, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Financial Accounting, Basic Sciences, and Mathematics.
Year 2
focuses on core-discipline modules such as Business Law, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Project Management and Scheduling, Service Quality and Professional Etiquette, Event Logistics and Facilities Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Strategic Thinking Skills and Management Accounting.
Year 3
allows students to focus on core-specialisation modules such as Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions, Risk, Security and Crisis Management, Tourism and Travel Management, as well as elective modules from specialised domain areas such as Public Relations and Media, Resorts and Cruise Management, Food and beverage Management, Attractions Management, Sales Management, Business Statistics and Customer Relationship Management.
Apart from the Core modules, you also need to take a number of Electives offered by the School. Elective modules are designed to broaden your understanding of the growing field, and to complement knowledge acquired in other parts of the programme.
