School of Technology for the Arts

The School of Technology for the Arts is committed to grooming professionals for fulfilling careers in the creative industries, identified in the Singapore government’s Renaissance City report as one of the high growth industries of the future. We are dedicated to nurturing top-class talent across the creative cluster of design, media, arts and culture.

Our carefully-crafted diplomas will equip you with both the technical skills and creative mindset needed to compete and succeed in your chosen field. Besides providing a broad-based foundation in your respective areas of study, we put great emphasis on helping you develop strong creative portfolios that are key to landing that first job. We also secure quality work placements which, being compulsory for all our students, ensures each and every one of our graduates are industry-ready on completing our diplomas.

Our graduates can look forward to an extensive range of job opportunities in the areas of: new media, web design and development, advertising, media and public relations, film and video production, sound design and engineering, media and entertainment, arts and theatre management, set and production design, game design, interaction and user-experience design.

For those interested in further education, our diplomas are also designed to meet requirements for advanced standing in local and overseas degree programmes. The universities which our graduates can fast-track into include: Monash University, Queensland University of Technology, the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts; University of Queensland, University of Essex, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Murdoch University.
