Diploma in Game Design

The Diploma in Game Design (DGD) is an integrated diploma developed to nurture game designer and producers with creative skills, technical and management savvy.

To leverage on the rapidly emerging opportunities in the global entertainment and media arena, the proposed course structure has been designed to realize the following outcomes:

  • Broaden and deepen aesthetic and conceptual competencies

  • Introduction to technology use in specialized arts

  • Appreciation of, and fluency in, technology applications relevant to game creation

More About the Programme

DGD students will have access to cutting-edge technology to design and create game projects. They will also be able to leverage from RP’s collaborative learning environment and develop game projects with students with engineering and infocomm technology expertise. In addition, they will be able to feed off strong industry linkages forged by RP and STA’s Technology Development Centre (TDC), Generator.

The DGD graduate will be able to design the next generation of globally competitive games concept, execute and manage well to completion and commercialization of IP.
