About the Programme
Singapore is one of the most wired countries in the world today. Websites, blogs, social networks, and handheld devices are new media platforms used by nearly every enterprise, whether public or private, to promote itself and interact with its customers. Our Diploma in New Media – equal parts Design, Production, and Interactivity - will ready you to work in the current world of new media, as well as prepare you for the future.
Through a series of progressively more challenging modules, you will move through the fundamentals of design and production to the creation of truly interactive experiences, using many different formats and techniques. The essential abilities to tell a good story, to communicate clearly with words and images, and to persuade an audience effectively are explored throughout your education here. Our internship programme will place you in an organisation that will give you a headstart in your future career and you will get to develop a strong portfolio of works that is unique, memorable, and most importantly, get you a job. Besides the acquisition of new media skills, you will cultivate a personal creative process that will enable you excel in your career.
Career Prospects
The skills acquired from our programme will allow students to work in a variety of companies that create and use new media for their customers, including design firms, advertising agencies, production companies, interactive developers, museums & galleries, as well as any organization with a New Media department, such as government bodies, PR and marketing firms, financial and healthcare companies and many other private enterprises.
Further Studies
Many of our graduates progress to National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University and Singapore Management University. They are also eligible for advanced standing entry for up to 1.5yrs at the following universities: University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology, La Trobe, Monash University, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, University of Canberra, University of Newcastle.
