    What is EAE?

Thinking of pursuing a polytechnic diploma, and have the interest and aptitude for a specific course? Want to secure your spot ahead of everyone else? The Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) gives you the opportunity to apply to your dream course before taking the O-Level exams! From 2016, EAE has replaced the Direct Polytechnic Admission (DPA) Exercise and the Joint Polytechnic Special Admissions Exercise (JPSAE).

    Who’s eligible?
Students who are registered to take the O-Level exams in the same year as EAE.

    What are we looking for?

    • Strong aptitude and interest in a specific course
    • Non-academic talents and achievements in areas such as sports, arts, community service, leadership and other accomplishments

    • Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend an aptitude test or interview.

Do I need to meet any admissions criteria?
The EAE offer is conditional. To ensure that you are able to meet the rigours of polytechnic education, you must meet these requirements in your O-Level exams to confirm your place in the polytechnic course:

    • Obtain a net ELR2B2 aggregate score of 26 points or better; and
    • Meet the Minimum Entry Requirements (MER) for your selected course. The MER for each course can be found at www.rp.edu.sg/MER.aspx
