RP GRADUATE BALL 2009
So...after three years of UTs, RJs, 6Ps, you’ve finally made it. The diploma is in your hands and the future is yours to paint.
But what do you do the night after graduation? Let your hair down – in a BIG way of course! Elegance, RP’s graduation ball 2009 was set in Suntec City's convention centre where two hundred of RP's best-dressed turned up to celebrate the end of their academic journey with the school. Gracing the joyous occasion were Principal/CEO Mr Yeo Li Pheow, Deputy Principal Mr Eden Liew, Senior Director/OSG Mr Ang Keng Loo as well as directors from the various schools.
Magic IG kicked off the evening with an enthralling performance involving card tricks and street magic. Three volunteers from the audience were also given the opportunity to win ten dollars by picking the right envelope.
Dinner was a western-style buffet which included a wide variety of food. During the dinner, P/CEO Mr Yeo delivered his address to the class of 2009. He spoke of the friendships and relationships built over the three years at RP and urged the graduates to maintain these friendships even as they moved forward. He also assured the graduates that RP will always welcome them back with open arms.
The heart-warming speech was followed by a wonderful performance by Tiffany's Band, which presented their rendition of songs by popular bands like Coldplay. The arresting performance was followed by a high-energy dance item by Social Dance IG and a stellar performance by two international student singers.Of course, the night was not complete without putting some of our graduates in an embarrassing spot. Six of the guests were randomly picked from the audience to participate in the Mr Simply Hunkilicious and Ms Originality Gorgeous contest. The contest was officiated with much hilarity and humiliation as participants were made to spill secrets, dance with each other and execute some silly moves before one couple walked away with the prize.
The radical beauty contest left everyone on a high as the dining tables made way to create an ad-hoc stage that allowed the party goers to dance the night away.
