And The President Came to Republic Polytechnic!

After
watching an impressive display of skills from RP’s silat group (with our ‘Kompang’ group playing in the background), Professor Low presented a memento to the President on behalf of RP: a specially bound book and a CD containing the thoughts and wishes of our students.
In return, President Nathan reciprocated
with a gift for RP – a specially designed plaque to mark the occasion. The emcee
then invited the President to help kick-start a 3-on-3 Floorball Competition, by
having a go at putting a floorball into the goal. And he scored! Beautifully!
The President then waved goodbye to RP in the midst of loud cheers as his visit
came to an end.
Although it was a short and informal visit, the enthusiasm and spontaneity
displayed by our students was indeed uplifting. Three cheers to Republic
Polytechnic for making the President’s visit such a successful one!
