The Singapore Innovation Class (I-Class) Programme which was launched in July 2002, provides organisations with a framework for achieving innovation excellence.
Despite being a relatively young institution of 3 years, we in Republic Polytechnic (RP) embraced the innovation framework right from the start, with the aim to lead in higher education and also in the area of technology development. In September 2005, Republic Polytechnic submitted an application for the Singapore I-Class to SPRING, and we were assessed by a team of independent assessors. Republic Polytechnic was then subsequently awarded the Singapore I-Class Award. It is no mean feat for a 3-year old organization to be awarded the I-Award at the 1st attempt. This success is greatly attributed to the strong leadership and support from our senior management, as well as the dedicated and conscientious effort from RP staff to continuously improve and innovate.
The I–Class working committee would like to take this opportunity to thank all RP senior management and staff for their support in making this quest for innovation excellence a successful one!
