Republic Polytechnic Storms in at Top 5
at Muscle Storm 2006

On the 15th January 2006,
two Republic Polytechnic students, Eric Sia Chye Kheng (SAS) & Sheikh
Muhammad Ally B S A A (SAS) took part in the Muscle Storm 2006 organized by
Singapore Polytechnic. Eric and Sheikh managed to get into the top 5 places
in both the Under-60 kg & the Above-70kg categories respectively.
Competition was tough in both categories as both students had to compete
with a number of older and more experienced participants. In the Under-60kg
category, Eric managed to clench a 4th position despite facing tough
competition from 12 participants in his category. As for the Above-70kg
category, Sheikh was awarded 2nd runner-up and received a trophy
together with a $100 voucher.
We would like to
congratulate our athletes for doing us proud. Well done guys!!!!
