SIFE
is a global non-profit organization active in more than 40 countries. SIFE is
funded by financial contributions from corporations, entrepreneurs, foundations,
government agencies and individuals. Working in partnership with business organisations and institutes of higher learning, SIFE establishes student teams
on university campuses. These teams are led by faculty advisors and they are
challenged to develop community outreach projects to reach SIFE's five
educational topics:
-
Market Economics
- Success Skills
- Entrepreneurship
- Financial Literacy
- Business Ethics
RP students
showcased four projects ranging from educational outreach to Holy Innocents High
School, Infusion Mania competition, the inaugural Arts Bazaar and the income
generation expedition to Sri Lanka. The judges were very impressed with our
students for being able to impact many lives, as well as impart business skills
even though RP does not offer business courses to students. They also commended
the passion and enthusiasm that RP students displayed when they were showcasing
their efforts in improving other’s lives.
The success of our
projects is evident in that we won six out of nine awards at the
competition, the most number of awards that any team managed to bag from the
competition, beating even the champion team from Singapore Management University
