Back to Part I
The evening’s partying got off on a “rainy”
start as the sky continued to drizzle lightly even as staff made their way from
the LT towards the lawn area. However, our spirited RP staff did not let the
gloomy weather get to them. Everyone was soon downing cocktails and Sangria
(concocted by Prof Low himself!), and indulging in great food and good company
as the night progressed.
One of the highlights of the evening was
the Aloha Fashion Show, where RP staff models (nominated by their respective Pod
committees), went on the catwalk and paraded their best Hawaiian fashion
designed by their Pod members in a bid to win the coveted Aloha Model prizes for
their Pods. It is no mean feat, but these RP staff got together in their various
teams, and on this night, exhibited their creativity and spontaneity. We say,
they were the stars of the evening!
The best-dressed competition was carried
out concurrently as the organizing committee scouted the grounds for the best
dressed staff for the night! We then selected our winners based on the loudest
audience cheers, and boy did our staff get behind their favourites!
Of course, the climax of the party was the
lucky draw! This year, we have the best prizes in the history of our anniversary
celebrations, to thank staff for participating in the first party held at our
new campus. Most staff went home feeling like big winners – especially the lucky
guy who walked away with the top prize of the draw: a 32-inch Sony LCD TV, fully
sponsored by our contractors, China Construction. Here’s a big shout-out thank
you to them!
And of course, to all staff who came and
celebrated with us – thank you!
To RP – Happy 4th Birthday!
