On 20 Oct 06,
the newest members of the Hip Hop Interest Group (also known as StyleMethodz)
rocked the Agora stage! We would like to thank all Republicans who were there to
witness the success of the juniors’ performance!
For the past 5
months, the IG’s student choreographer (C.A.) taught the different elements of
dance like breaking, popping, locking and hip hop dance to the junior dancers. A
performance was choreographed according to the different elements of dance which
were taught. After many months of hard work, the dancers were ready to strut
their stuff!
Apart from the breathtaking dance item, a 30 minute
Hip hop workshop was also conducted for all RP staff and students during GET
KRUNK! The workshop is to share our passion for Hip Hop dance with everyone in
RP.
Led by the IG’s student instructor C.A., the audience
grooved & moved to basic hip hop techniques like wrist twirls, the lock, top
rocks, 1,2 step and more! This is the first time RP has ever seen that many
people dancing together!
All the members
of Hip Hop IG share a common passion; the passion to dance and to learn more. Be

Our next
performance will be the opening performance for the launch of the Clean and
Green Week, where Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong is the Guest-of-Honour.
