Over 50 students will be representing Republic Polytechnic in the upcoming Polytechnic Forum from 12 to 14 September 2007. This time, they will be on board the SuperStar Virgo!
Together with the student representatives from the other polytechnics, they will explore the ‘The World in A Little Red Dot’ and the multiple possibilities that will surface through discussions and debate.
Prior to the forum, participants attended a series of talks delivered by prominent industrial players and speakers from the civil sector and voluntary welfare organisations. Students were engaged in experiential activities, brainstorming and research work in preparation for their sub-theme group projects.
The pre-forum activities provided participants with a deeper understanding of the issues. Challenges and opportunities related to the sub-themes were surfaced for students to discuss and present their views on how they could take a more active and leading role in our society.
