Siemon Cup Challenge - World Skills Team Achieves First Runner Up

Our World Skills team participated in the Siemon Cup Challenge held at ITE Yishun on 24 Sep 2007.
After intense training and preparation during the term and holidays by
World Skills Trainers (Lim Chiew Yen, Koh Chee Keat, Caleb Tan and Edmund Tan),
our students (Syharil, Win Tun, Tuck Whye, Yong Kai, Dominic, Celes and Raj) did RP proud.
Our team achieved a commendable 1st Runner-up position for the Team category.

There were a total of 29 participants, each from the following institutions:
Nanyang Polytechnic – 3 pax
Ngee Ann Polytechnic – 2 pax
Singapore Polytechnic – 6 pax
Republic Polytechnic – 6 pax
ITE Dover – 6 pax
ITE Yishun – 6 pax
Results for Team Category:
Champion: Singapore Polytechnic
1st Runner-up: Republic Polytechnic
2nd Runner-up: Ngee Ann Polytechnic
Results for Individual Category:
Champion: Singapore Polytechnic
1st Runner-up: Nanyang Polytechnic
2nd Runner-up: Singapore Polytechnic
Overall Winner: Singapore Polytechnic
Each of our students received a Certificate of Participation. In addition, the team received a prize of $300 worth of Harvey Norman vouchers.
