B@R Races at Crank 6 MTB 2007 and Wins Third Position

Enduro Cycling Race Challenge

On the 29th of September, Bikers at Republic (B@R) attended an endurance race held at the Lorong Halus dirt track. The race was 6 hours long and the objective was to complete as many laps as possible in that time. It was a team event where riders had to compete in pairs. The trail was 10km in length and built on a landfill where the highest point was elevated 20 stories above the start point.

Despite the dangerous and difficult track conditions, most of the riders managed to complete at least 6 rounds. The most number of rounds completed was a total of 7 in the men’s open category.

During the race, it was heartening to witness riders who were competing in the same race actually stopping to help people who were in need. This was done at their own expense, offering anything from anti-cramp rubs to basic first aid.

A pair of riders managed to clinch a prize in the mixed event. They were Cheng Yi Feng and Felicia Iten who won Third prize in the mixed category.
