Singapore’s most stylish and prevalent band, Electrico, plays captivating, guitar-based rock n roll. Originally known as Electric Company and formed in 1996, the band comprised David Tan (vocals, guitar), Desmond Goh (bass) and William Lim, Jr (drums, backing vocals). Four years later in 2003, the band and its music evolved to include two new talents, Daniel Sassoon (guitar) and Amanda Ling (keyboard).

EIC mixes it all up, blends it together and serves it like no other. With individual backgrounds and influences as diverse as imaginable, EIC has managed to perfect it's delicate balancing act and hone itself as a cutting edge band. Every once in a while, comes a band that stretches the imagination of mainstream music. Formed in 2006, Flybar are about to release their debut album “Scream Without Raising Your Voice”, filled with ultra-catchy, Beatles-esque tunes and incorporating hints of many other music elements not usually associated with rock music: harmonica, electronic beats, saxophone solos and much more. Amongst the many accolades the band has received, Flybar, consisting of Ian Toh (vocals), Deon (drums), Yado (Bass), Ben (rhythm guitars) and Jon Ong (lead guitars), won the World Battle of the Bands within 3 months of its conception, representing Singapore in Hong Kong in the World Battle of the Bands International Finals 2006 which was transmitted 'Live' internationally via QQ.com and also supported by Channel V. They have shared the stage with Asia rock giants Rivermaya and internationally acclaimed act Jet at Fort Canning Park.

Plainsunset is one of the local scene's most influential and inspiring pop-punk bands known for their energy and fun-loving stage antics. Their sing-along tunes and simple lyrics have struck a chord with many fans and it is not uncommon to see and hear the crowd moving and singing along to their music. Their shows always leave their fans asking for more and have won many loyal fans not only in Singapore but in Malaysia as well. Formed in 1996, Plainsunset has 3 full length albums and other compilations to their name. Plainsunset is Ronny on drums, Nizam on bass/vocals, Sham on guitars/vocals and Jonathan on guitars/ lead vocals. They have performed in countless shows big and small and their music has travelled to Malaysia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China.

Allura

Allura was conceived in early 2007 from an unusual series of unfortunate events. Allura is a five-piece band infusing a different variety of influences, from Jazz to Alternative, from Experimental to Indie - portrayed in the form of Rock. With emotive passion and resilience, Allura pristinely resonates a unique quirky melodic tone with a prerogative crunch. Feel and embrace a new emotively refreshing sound, oozing into your senses.

Ruth graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2002 with a degree in Music production and Engineering. She released 2 albums "How Can I Not" and "Live Unplugged at BCEC!" in the same year. Since then, she has built an extensive portfolio in the various arenas of pop music performance and production. She is a Singer, Songwriter, Pianist, Composer, Arranger and Producer. Experience in solo performance, touring musician with international pop acts (Stefanie Sun and Sally Yeh), and has written songs for Sandy Lam, Edison Chan and Denise Ho. |
