In this competition, the judges looked out for
intensity in tricks and also composition of the rider on the water. We are
proud to acknowledge the fact that our team mates, under consistent trainings of
twice a week, were able to perform their tricks calmly in front of their
competitors.
On the first day, RP Wakeboarding competed against some of the
strongest teams, and managed to have 4 females and 3 males to be in the
semi-final with very good results. It was the determination that got the team so
far, and on the second day, the team was ready to face stiff competition.
Thought the atmosphere was tense, the team persevered and did a great job.
The team had 5 who made it to the finals, and each had done
well for the category that they were representing.
They are:
·
Brenda Lee, who is the captain of the team, rose above the rest
and clinched 1st place in the ‘Woman’s Novice’ category.
·
Paul Queck, who is the vice captain of the team, also rose above
the rest and clinch 1st place in the ‘Men's
Intermediate’ category.
·
Shirley Yeo, who clinched 4th place in the ‘Women's
Freeride’ category.
·
Khalid Raj, who clinched 6th place in the ‘Men's
Novice’ category.
·
Pavinder Singh, who is part of the alumni team, clinched 2nd
place in the ‘Men's Alumni’ category.
Overall, RP
wakeboarding is placed 4th place in the overall team score.
Congratulations to all of them.
