Adventure
Learning Club (ALC) does RP proud by
helping PA's Adventure Wing to teach
children rockclimbing!
On
Sunday 27th June 2004, our Adventure Learning
Club student leaders helped to organise
the Tampines
East Community Centre Opening. In collaboration
with People's Association Adventure Wing,
the Adventure Club Members managed a bouldering
wall which was one of the main highlights
in the Carnival.
They
spent a very eventful day, helping visitors
of the carnival to conquer the bouldering
wall. Many laughs and memorable moments were
made helping the younger attendees of the
carnival who thoroughly enjoyed it. Many
of the children found the experience so entertaining
that they climbed the bouldering wall until
they were exhausted.
The
students not only got a few climbing tips
from some of the experts there but more importantly,
they contributed back to the community what
they have learnt from the courses in the
Adventure Learning Club. They hope to continue with
such projects in future after having had
such an enjoyable experience with this one.

event was briefly mentioned in the newspapers:
