Expressions International
Annual Dinner and Dance 2004 |
These two months have been a grueling,
nerve wrecking yet fulfilling experience for the fifteen
odd members of Expressions International Annual Dinner
and Dance 2004 Committee. The aims of these young aspiring
talents, full of concepts and ideas, were pretty straightforward:
To create an environment where staffs of Expressions
International are able to enjoy their night of splendor
for their fruit of labor over the efforts put in for
the entire year.

The Committee had been meeting up often discussing
and drafting up proposals after proposals, plans
after plans… making sure that their client,
Expressions International, is satisfied with the
details for the
night. They have even gone an extra mile considering
any possibilities, be it good or bad, that may occur
and how to salvage the situation if it ever happens,
ensuring event will be run smoothly. Proper time
management and team work was the main secret of success
for the
event as usually a Dinner and Dance would definitely
require more than just two months of preparation.
The committee did it! Enthusiasm, laughter and love
for one another filled the night. Staff worked together
as a team in the exciting team building games. Some
ladies even sacrificed their gentle image; play-act
for hunks as one of the “to-be-searched” item
to earn their team a point in the game of memory
scavenger hunt.
Not only did the staffs enjoy themselves, the committee
was treated as part of the family where they also
indulged in mouth-watering buffets with different
cuisines being served while at the same time playing
the games.
Summing up the hard work of the students, Ms. Pearline
Lee, President of Expressions International Dinner
and Dance Committee commented after the event: “… pacesétter
did a fantastic job for our D&D & we are
very pleased with your effort to keep the event lively.
We all had a very joyous night thanks to you. Once
again thank you for all your good team work & in
fact you people operate like a pro!” That could
probably be the most heartening and encouraging words
for the Committee. From baby steps where one knows
nothing about managing an event to giant leaps in
which one leads a successful event, isn’t this
an enriching experience?
