Logo Launch

| Republic Polytechnic’s
corporate logo was officially launched
on 9 Dec 02 at our Tanglin Campus. Our
VIPs included Guest-of-Honour Mr Lee Hsien
Yang (Chairman, Board of Governors), members
of the Board of Governors, an MOE official,
as well as our Prize Winners. Members of
the press were also present. |
| Following the arrival
of our Chairman at 11.25 am, Prof Low our
P/CEO gave a short introduction, highlighting
the significance of our logo. He emphasized
the logo as a very important emblem or
icon of what the institution stands for,
to be worn with pride by our students as
a badge of honour. The logo was also a
rallying point which would give our students
a strong sense of identity. He also highlighted
the point that the logo reflects the fact
that we are both a serious institution
of learning as well as a fun learning place.

This was followed by
a very exciting countdown by all present
during which our Chairman and Prof Low
jointly pricked the balloons concealing
our logo to reveal it. Our Chairman was
then invited to say a few words. In his
short speech, he shared his vision for
Republic Polytechnic to be both creative
and nurturing, and invited staff to work
together to achieve this vision.
Prizes were then presented
by our Chairman to our Prize Winners,
which was followed by a group photography
session. A sumptious Christmas-cum-Hari
Raya buffet lunch provided a fitting
end to the happy occasion.
